Paulownia іѕ аn increasingly рοрυƖаr substitute fοr mahogany іn more affordable guitar models. It’s a fаѕt-growing, hearty tree native tο Japan аnԁ Southeast Asia, аnԁ hаѕ traditionally bееn used fοr Asian string instruments.
Aѕ a lightweight, porous body wood, Paulownia іѕ somewhat similar tο swamp ash іn іtѕ sonic signature: very resonant, wіth plenty οf chime аnԁ a nice, tight low-еnԁ.
Bolt-On Construction

This guitar is really good. It has an awesome body and a fantastic sound. I love playing this guitar. It's great for all kinds of metal music. There are two problems I have with it. The weight of the guitar keeps shifting the neck down, which is annoying, and its hard to find gig bags for this guitar shape. Its definitely worth the purchase though, at the ridiculously cheap price its sold for. -- Very nice!
this being my first dean and having played for 24 years mostly death thrash speed and power metal, you can imagine i have worn out a few guitars and i have played rock bottom garbage to the elite master guitars, so just to see i ordered this a friend swears by dean and recommended the ml x since its my body style of choice anyway it was here in 2 days nice! it arrived in good shape (one tiny ding on the bottom left corner nothing i would bother about, this body style is a ding magnet any way it was even in tune except for the e major 1/2 step off i played it for 3 hours non stop i fell in love with it it stays in tune and has sick tone and sustain do not hesitate to buy this guitar it rocks harder and plays smoother faster and easier than guitars i have paid 800$ for im gonna but at least 4 more deans nuff said buy it!!! -- pure awesomy awesomness ! a treasure i will buy more deans
This guitar is awesome. If you are looking for a guitar that has the flying V feeling but you dont want a flying V then grab up one of these. and the price is AMAZING so was the shipping. -- It is AWESOME!!!
I was very disappointed with this purchase and had to return it, the guitar had cracks where the neck connects to the body and a crack under the front pickup. I loved the body style of the guitar and the price, but unfortunately it was damaged. Your experience if you've ordered the item may be different from mine, at least I would hope so, to avoid the deep disappointment I felt. -- Dean ML XM Electric Guitar
